Home Instead Leads “Seniors and Driving” Workshop

Coming to the reality that it may no longer be safe for older loved ones to drive themselves can cause a range of emotions, and the task of approaching the subject with that relative can be daunting.

Home Instead Senior Care of Washington is partnering United Methodist Church to host “Seniors and Driving” on Thursday, July 14.

The free workshop will discuss enable families to work with their senior loved ones to develop a plan to transition out of driving before a crisis occurs. It will provide a new way of thinking about transportation to include alternate modes of getting around.

Discussion will include ways to seek out resources and solutions to help seniors remain active and engaged after giving up their car keys.

The workshop will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the United Methodist Church at 116 Washington Avenue, Washington. This event is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required.

To reserve your seat, please call Home Instead Senior Care at (908) 835-1400.
