The Warren Hills FFA team consisting of Brittany Smith, Victoria Burd, Sarah Chaplain and Devyn Meshach recently competed in the NJ FFA Horse Evaluation Career Development Event and they swept the competition and took first place. The team is now eligible to compete at The Big E (Eastern States Exposition) in Springfield, MA in September and the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN in October. Individually Brittany Smith placed 3rd, Victoria Burd placed 4th, Devyn Meshach placed 7th, and Sarah Chaplain placed 10th. In this competition the team judged 8 different classes of horses (with and without riders), gave oral reasons on their placing of 4 classes, completed a written test on the equine industry, identified horse breeds, tack, medicine, and disorders affecting horses.
