Resolve to listen to great music this new year,starting with the Jay Leonhart Quartet and Tomoko Ohno!
Taking the Rutherfurd Hall stage on Sunday, Jan. 6, the talents of these great jazz musicians should not be missed. The concert runs 3-5 p.m. in the historical mansion.
Jay Leonhart is a superior bassist with a long career in jazz.In addition to 15 solo albums, Leonhart has been named “The Most Valuable Bassist” in the recording industry three times by the National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences.
Pianist and composer Tomoko Ohno has performed in some of the nation’s best venues—including Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall—as well as appeared on national television and radio. Ohno was the recipient of a The Meet The Composer Foundation grant and leads her own group.
Leonhart and Ohno will be joined by Grammy award-winning saxophonist, Wayne Escoffery, and international drum master, Vito Lesczak.
Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. Advanced tickets can be purchased on the Rutherfurd Hall website or in-person at Mama’s Café Baci in Hackettstown or Panther Valley Pharmacy in Allamuchy.
