The Hackettstown Business Improvement District has big plans this year.

The BID has announced its 2023 schedule, beginning with the speaker series which will run January through December.

Specific dates begin with Winterfest on Saturday, Jan. 21.

Special events in February start with “Sweet Deals” leading up to Valentine’s Day on Saturday, Feb. 11, and a series of St. Patrick’s Day events starting on Thursday, Feb. 23, with the St. Patrick’s Day Beer and Bar Crawl.

More St. Patrick’s Day events lead up to the big day, including the St. Patrick’s Grand Marshal Reception on Thursday, March 9, and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 12.

Some events do not have specific dates set but are in the planning stages. These include the Tillie Walk with the Centenary Stage Company and the Easter Scavenger Hunt.

Moving into spring, the “Maifest” International Day will be on Saturday, May 20.

As the weather warms up, the BID is planning a spring festival from Friday, June 2, to Sunday, June 4. The street fair is planned for June 25. Late Night Thursdays will return featuring live bands and a farmers market every Thursday evening from July 13 through Aug. 24.

Still to be announced will be the family lawn movies.

Into fall, Oktoberfest will be Friday, Sept. 29, through Sunday, Oct. 1. Progressing toward Halloween, the Scarecrow Contest will run from Monday, Oct. 2, through Sunday, Nov. 5, with Halloween Downtown Scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28.

The annual “Shop Small Saturday” will be on Nov. 25.

As Christmas approaches, Hometown Holiday Weekend will be Friday, Dec. 1, through Sunday, Dec. 3.
