Grover Kemble and the Noble Brothers Headline St. Lukes

Grover and the Boys

North Jersey music legend Grover Kemble is back at St. Luke’s Church in Hope on Saturday, May 6, at 7 p.m.

This time Grover will perform with local musicians Harry and Bob Noble who are fast becoming music legends themselves.

Harry and Bob are the third generation of Noble musicians Kemble has worked with. He learned from their grandfather, Foster, and performed with their father, Hap.

“This is a bluesy show,” Kemble said. It will feature some of his original material, including some gospel pieces, as well as blues and other gospel numbers.

The concert is the third in The Arts at St. Luke’s series for 2023. The Noble Brothers will return on Friday, Sept. 8 with Jesse Bardwell in a slightly different, and more grown up, iteration of the Quimby Mountain Band.  On Saturday, Oct. 7, jazz singer Jan Findlay will return with her quartet: Tomoto Ohno on piano, John Zweig on guitar and Rick Crane on bass. The series ends on Saturday, Nov. 4, with folk music from Deb D’Anne with Tim Blohm.

In December, St. Luke’s is a holiday music stop on the Hope Moravian Lantern Tour on Saturday, Dec. 9.

The Arts at St. Luke’s is partially funded through a grant from the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Division of the Land Preservation Department. A $10 donation is suggested.

St. Luke’s Church is located at 346 High Street in Hope. On- and off-street parking is available.
