A $12,680 grant from the John A. & Margaraet Post Foundation will provide a generator for one of the Arc of Warren County’s group homes in Washington.
The generator installation will take about four months. Group homes without a generator are evacuated whenever power fails during storms, under state law which mandates relocation in times of extreme heat or cold. These may also be times of treacherous travel and hotel space is scarce close to the group homes.
The foundation has funded three previous generators in Belvidere, Alpha and Phillipsburg.
