Bob and DJ Pesaniello, this year’s Grand Marshalls of the annual July 4th Parade in Washington, part of the Washington Celebrates America holiday event, were honored at a dinner this past Saturday. The old-fashioned July 4th Parade, which will step off at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, is organized by the Washington Celebrates America committee, which chooses residents with a history of volunteerism and service to honor as Grand Marshall. Later that night there will be a fireworks display at the Washington Middle School.
The dinner, a fundraiser for Washington Celebrates America, was sponsored by Warren County Dental Center, owned by Lauren and Christopher Cannava. The festivities included the presentation of a Citation from the 23rd District legislators congratulating the Pesaniellos as this year’s Grand Marshalls.
The Pesaniellos have dedicated their lives to bettering their community and country and are truly beloved by their friends and family. They have always been known for their readiness to help out when needed and have been involved in numerous community initiatives for years.
The parade will run along Broad and Belvidere Avenues. A rain date of Sunday, July 7, has been set. For more information about Washington Celebrates America check out its Facebook page.
