Warren Hills track and field coach Ken Kurpat has set very simple yet ambitious goals for 2018.
“This year’s goals are to get the most athletes ever here at Warren Hills to the State Group 3 Meet,” he stated. “The goal is to also get the most we can to the Meet of Champions as well.”
To accomplish these goals, Kurpat will be looking to a team that is younger than last year’s but is led by a core group of seniors and juniors who are featured at different events.
Lexi Westley and Taras McBrair will be competing in the 1600m and 3200m, James Jordan in the 100m and 200m, Kailey Dorsch in the triple jump, Billy Carroll in the 800m and 400 high hurdles and Tamia Freeman in the 400m and 4 by 400 relay.
