All who come will be treated to a real “show stopper” at the July 15 Washington Business Improvement District Farmers Market.

The renowned Gerry Gessie Show is an exciting musical show featuring Gerry and his wife Ronnie. These two have appeared all over the country with their show, a lively interactive show combining good natured comedy and music with participants encouraged to join in on the fun.

The Farmers’ Market offers quality fruits and vegetables as well as specialty items with special events throughout the season. The weekly farmers’ market takes place every Saturday through the end of September, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market is always held along Route 57, anchored in the Pocket Park, located at 44 E. Washington Ave. (Route 57).

The Gerry Gessie Show will run from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Gerry “hosts” a “Build A Band” segment during every performance where folks get to join the action on stage. He captivates his audience to watch, listen, dance and sing along.

Gerry is considered a true guitar master.   In collaboration with the Heritage Guitar Company of Kalamazoo, MI in the design of a red, white and blue Heritage Little One guitar, he was honored by the company in having that particular guitar crafted as his own signature guitar, also described as the loudest and most unique guitar built by the historic Heritage Guitar Company.  In addition, Gerry has donated the leftover wood from building his guitars to the Pens for Freedom Project whose wood turners make red, white and blue pens to send to soldiers serving our country overseas.

The resident of Blairstown has backed such luminaries as Lou Pallo of the Les Paul Trio, The Four Seasons, The Shirelles and the Rascals, to name a few.

Mostly, though, he and his wife thoroughly enjoy seeing kids smile. And of course, adults smile, too!
