Warren Hills Senior Skylar Warren became the first student in the school’s history to graduate with her associate degree before her high school diploma! Earning credits through dual-enrollment with Warren Community College, Skylar graduated from both institutions with honors!

Students have earned praise for poetry writing in the Tri-County Literacy Young Author’s Writing Competition, overseen by the Tri-County Literacy Council, which aims to foster writing skills in area students. Work can be submitted in several creative categories: poetry, short story, personal narrative, and essay. Warren Hills librarian Maggie Devine, a member of the Council, submitted the pieces on students’ behalf.
The Warren Hills winners are:
- Phoebe Sessler, senior, 1st place, Poetry 9-12, “Remembering That You Forgot”
- Stephanie Dunlap, sophomore, 2nd place, Poetry 9-12, “Or Give Me Death”
- Savannah Kirksey, 3rd, Poetry 9-12, “The Mask”
- Cooper Tillotson, honorable mention, Poetry 9-12, “The Blue Bird”
Each student will receive a certificate and a Barnes and Noble gift card.
