Pohatcong Township Councilwoman Ingrid Gray congratulates Veteran Rick Houston, the recipient of the Veterans Build/Habitat for Humanity house, to be built in the Shimer section of the township. The official announcement for this new home to be built came appropriately enough, today, on Veterans Day. Township Land Use Board member Darrell Swinicki, an Air Force veteran, stepped in to help supervise the new house. It will be a modular home placed on the site of an abandoned house that came into the possession of the township after the owner died and taxes were not paid. The house should be available by spring.
