For the fourth straight year, students of Warren County schools participated in the “Follow Me, I Choose To Be Alcohol Free” poster contest. The contest, sponsored by the Warren County PTA Council and the Coalition for Healthy and Safe Communities (a program of the Family Guidance Center), drew over 150 entries.
The posters were featured at the Washington Arts Festival in April, with those in attendance voting on the winners by grade and the overall People’s Choice winner.
For this contest, students, grades 4 through 12, created original art work to reflect a peer inspired message to make healthy decisions when it comes to alcohol. All the winners were recognized at a special event at Warren County Community College in mid-May.
