Job seekers know that employers want a little bit of everything on their resume, and with Warren County Community College’s new Social Media Marketing Certificate Program, that might just be a possibility for marketers.

This specialized certificate program introduces students to various social media platforms and their strategic use. Great for marketing professionals as well as small business owners and employees, this brand-new program offers flexibility through an innovative schedule that allows students to sign up for individual workshops or the entire semester-long course. This way, students who already have expertise in some areas can pick and choose what they want to learn.

“Everyone — businesses and consumers — are online these days and companies that don’t tap into this market will quickly fall behind their competitors,” said Eve Azar, Vice President, Corporate & Continuing Education at WCCC. “Social Media Marketing can prepare students, whether publicists, office managers, or business owners, to create an online presence that suits their needs.”

The Social Media Marketing Certificate Program will run Thursdays, Sept. 12-Nov. 21, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Each week has a different focus: Social Media Marketing (overview), Smartphone Photography for iPhones, Social Media Graphic Design Apps for Smartphones and Tablets, Video Marketing, Creating a Successful Facebook Business Page, Instagram for Business, YouTube Marketing, LinkedIn Marketing, How to Start a Podcast, and a Step-by-Step Guide to Creating Your Own Website. Cost for this program is $55 per course OR $499 for all 10 weeks. Only those who take all 10 workshops are eligible for the certificate.
