Fantastic Day of Art…not to mention Sweets and Crafts at this year’s Warren County Art, Sweets and Crafts Festival in Washington on April 28. Winners of the art competition were: First place, Asante African Art’s Grace Mugala – she displayed beautiful oil paintings; Second place was Ann Edwards Photography (photo above, Ann, center, with John Monteverde and Melanie Thiel of the Washington Business Improvement District). A Washington resident, Ann’s works were of still life photos from around various locations, including Warren County. Amazingly, she just started doing photography after retirement; the People’s Choice winner was Woodland Art Glass, with pendants made from fused glass, by Cynthia Lunden of Washington.
