The Traveling Lantern Theatre Company, which brings plays to children nationwide, will present The Story of Ebenezer Scrooge on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 5:30 p.m., at the Catherine Dickson Hofman Branch of the Warren County Library, 4 Lambert Road, Blairstown.
Ebenezer Scrooge is a nasty, mean, snarling old geezer with no care for anything other than his money. His one and only friend visits him as a ghost, and starts him on a journey that melts his icy heart and teaches him the joys of caring for, and giving to others. Appropriate for children older than 5.
Registration is required for all attendees as space is limited. Register with Laura at (908) 362-8335 or laurag@warrenlib.org.
KIDS CELEBRATE THE NEW YEAR
The Southwest Branch of the Warren County Library will provide an opportunity for children to celebrate the New Year, albeit a little early, on Dec. 31.
Preschoolers and other young children are invited to shake their egg shakers and toss their scarves to get ready for a new year. They will move and groove, play with the parachute and then count down to the New Year at noon. This program is best suited for children ages 8 and under and will be held in the meeting room of the Southwest Branch in Stewartsville.
Register with presenter Chrissie at (908) 689-7922 or cmcgovern@warrenlib.org.
