Kentucky derby fun returns to Rutherfurd Hall in Allamuchy on Saturday, Jan. 25, when the annual Night at the Races fundraiser returns for another hat-tastic evening.

A unique benefit to support the Rutherfurd Hall Foundation, A Night at the Races has – almost – all the fun of the real event (there will be no live horses at the event, sorry). Instead, get into the spirit by sipping prosecco and mint juleps in your best derby clothing while watching past races on-screen. “Bet” on your favorite horses to receive tickets towards prizes.

Prizes abound all night, including a Tricky Tray, 50/50 raffle, and a special prize for the best Derby Hat.

Tickets are $50 per person and include elegant hors d’oeuvres, catered by David’s Country Inn, an open bar that with wine, prosecco, beer, and mint juleps. Coffee and dessert will also be served.

“Gates” open at 6:30 p.m. with races starting promptly at 7:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, a snow date has been set for Saturday, Feb. 1.

In addition to entry, attendees can sponsor and name a horse for an additional $50 and receive a ticket for a Grand Prize Drawing. If your horse wins, you receive an additional ticket for the drawing.
