Washington Borough was lively on Oct. 24 when it celebrated its annual Day of the Dead event. A huge crowd attended the Washington Business Improvement District’s version of the Mexican holiday. Attendees were entertained by a mariachi band and Kevin “Skull” Defeo and children enjoyed face painting and other activities. There were also several vendors on hand and of course, many people, as is the custom, sent notes to passed away loved ones. Photos by Cathy Miller.
