DASACC Seeks Volunteers For Response Team

The Warren County Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center (DASACC) is seeking volunteers to support victims of domestic or sexual violence through a system of crisis response teams.

The volunteers will serve as advocates and respond to local police departments as part of domestic violence response teams and to hospitals as part of sexual assault response teams. They will be trained to provide empathy and impart information to empower the victims to make informed decision for themselves and their families. These volunteer advocates can also learn to assist victims in navigating the domestic violence court system or man the 24-hour hotline. DASACC also offers legal, therapeutic, financing and housing assistance.

The Warren County Prosecutor’s Office along with the local police departments and the 911 Communication Center operate an automatic call out system which can bring the volunteers together with victims.

To volunteer with DASACC, contact Rochelle Ostenfeld at rostenfeld@dasacc.org.
