The Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County (DASACC) is thrilled
to announce its upcoming fundraising event, “Night at the Races Beefsteak,” set to take place on Friday, November 17th at the Alpha Fire House, located at 1109 Lee Road in Alpha. Doors will swing open at 6:00 p.m. and the races will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Tickets to the event are $50, and there are opportunities for sponsorship including a $50 horse sponsorship in which you can name your horse and your name is entered for a chance to win one of three grand prizes!
Isela Arras, Executive Director of DASACC, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, stating, “With each gallop and each stride, we are taking a step towards a brighter future. It’s going to be an evening filled with entertaining races, delicious food, and most importantly, a chance to support an important cause. Let’s come together to make a positive impact while having a blast cheering on our favorite horses!”
“Night at the Races Beefsteak” promises an exhilarating evening featuring professionally narrated horse races, presented on a large screen with commentary from some of America’s most acclaimed announcers. Attendees will have the opportunity to place bets on the races, with winners receiving amusing currency that can be exchanged for tickets for a chance to win one of over 30 exciting prize baskets.
Lori Knerr, President of the Board of Directors, shared her anticipation, saying, “We are all so excited to be hosting our 2nd Night at the Races fundraising event in Phillipsburg. This night is always so much fun and the food is amazing. Where else can a group of people eat slices of prime rib, bet on horse races recorded in the 90’s, and drop your tickets for a chance to win a prize?”
