Charlie Fineran’s Photo of the Week offers a wintry scenic view of the I 80 Overlook by MP6W, and may very well spark an age old dilemma, Glass half full or Glass half empty?
Let us first explore the more optimistic, Glass half Full!! Learning about an easy to access, multi-use site that just happens to showcase the grandeur of the Delaware Water Gap as a constant beautiful back-drop!! Easy access, driving along I 80 westbound approaching MP6 you begin to see the Kittatinny Mountains out in front of you, signage has been advising you of an upcoming Overlook and Rest Area and then a ramp gently veers off to the right winding its way up an over a knoll disappearing out of sight. If you were to perchance take the ramp you would then be treated to a wonderful view showing the grandeur and beauty of the Delaware Water Gap a mere six miles away. The Site offers visitors a chance to rest and take in the view OR you may want to break out the picnic basket dining and visiting outdoors all within a wonderful view-shed. You really can’t get a bad view here!!
GLASS HALF EMPTY – The WHITE STUFF throughout the photo, instantly triggering a HARBINGER of what may be coming!!! Your eyes so focused on WHITE STUFF, you overlook noting possibilities of future picnics, your vision and mind is now focusing on, that looks pretty deep!! GEE, I wish, I hope, etc., etc. etc. Finally some of you will begin noticing the BIG PICTURE and after your initial shock start to put two and two together and make a mental note about another wonderful place to visit – ‘Inside Warren’!!
I believe you photo tour at my Flickr site will be interesting in that it shows the site’s sights at different seasons and different weather.
