The Hope Area Chamber of Commerce recognized the outstanding leadership of Emily Brown, Chair of the Township 250th Anniversary celebration weekend in September, as well as the outstanding leadership of the members of the Hope Township Committee, at the Chamber’s Annual Christmas party on Dec. 4. at Mattars Bistro.
Brown, who grew up in Hope and still lives there, coordinated the celebration that included a parade, town picnic, town dinner and outdoor Sunday Services.
Also honored individually were Mayor Timothy McDonough, Deputy Mayor John Kruk and Committeeman Terry Urfer, all of whom were instrumental in making the celebration a huge success, as well as the Township Committee as a whole. Brown was cited by Chamber President Christopher Maier and the committee members as the person who truly drove the event and made it such a success.
