Three Centenary University Class of 2018 graduates were recognized for excellence at the New Jersey Distinguished Clinical and Cooperating Teachers Award Ceremony. The awards are co-sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Education and New Jersey’s Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
Brittany Moyle, of Stewartsville, was recognized with distinction at the event. She was one of just 15 students to earn the ceremony’s highest honor. She graduated with dual certification in Grades K-6 elementary education and teacher of students with disabilities.
Abbie Kay, of Hackettstown, and Kristen Scimeca, of Budd Lake, were also honored at the annual event, which lauds the top 60 clinical interns—three each from New Jersey’s educator preparation programs.
Centenary University offers undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees in education at its main campus in Hackettstown, as well as at 75 professional development sites in northern New Jersey. More than 60 principals, superintendents, directors, or supervisors—including many of the principals in Warren County—have, or are currently earning a Centenary University degree.
