Cathy Miller’s People Picture of the Week features two “grillmasters,” (L) Interim Pastor Roy Minnix and (R) parishioner Steve Providoshin, masterfully grilling burgers during Gethsemane Lutheran Church’s Annual Picnic, in Hackettstown, on June 10. Despite heavy rain forcing the grill under cover, around 50 parishioners attended the cookout/eat-in, which was organized by Roshay Wilson, Social Ministry head. Attendees brought an assortment of food, salads, beverages, desserts and other picnic supples. In drier years, they’ve had a dunk tank, volleyball, and other outdoor games to round out the day’s activities. In addition, Gethsemane always extends a picnic invitation to the folks from the neighborhood. To all our readers, enjoy the summer and grill away!
