British Rocker Maddock to perform at Ramsaysburg

A rock & roll lifer, James Maddock has been carving his unique path since the 1980s, when the British-born singer/songwriter kicked off his career with a raw, soulful voice; a storyteller’s sense of narrative; and the ability to blur the lines between folk, classic pop, and rock. And on Saturday Oct. 9 Maddock brings that sound, with his band, to the Ramsaysburg Historic Homestead for a specially scheduled outdoor performance.

The Ramsaysburg Historic Homestead is located on the banks of the Delaware River, on Route 46, Knowlton Township. Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets, and snacks, to the expansive field behind the barn. Gates open at 2 p.m., music starts at 3.

Presented by the Friends of Ramsaysburg, a non-profit devoted to preserving the homestead, this event is one of many periodically held at the site. There is a suggested ticket price of $10 per person, payable at the door.

The show is sponsored in part through a supporting grant from the Warren County Division of Cultural and Heritage Affairs with funds from the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of the Department of (NJ) State.

The Homestead can be easily accessed from Rt. 80,  Exit 4B, and then 3 1/2 miles on Rt 46 East. For further information visit www.ramsaysburg.org or visit their Facebook page, Facebook.com/concerts at Ramsaysburg.
