Here’s one more endearing puppy rescue – the story of a silly blonde with big feet and soulful eyes – as detailed by Shawnee Bourenko of Hackettstown.
“Brisco was born December 2018 at a high-kill shelter in Kentucky. He was transported with his mama and litter mates to a foster home in New Jersey, where he was adopted by his ‘fur’ever family at the age of three months. His eight-year-old human named him after her favorite television show, ‘The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.,’ a western sci-fi from 1993. He looks to be a labrador/beagle mix, although we aren’t certain. We are certain he is a lovable goofball that brings us endless joy and laughter. Brisco’s favorite activities include cuddling as close as caninely possible, asking questions with his head tilted almost 90°, eating anything that the kid human drops, chewing bones into shivs, giving chase with new pals at the dog park, and hiking with his nose to the ground to ensure he doesn’t miss a scent.”
Brisco’s kid human added, “He’s cute. I love when one ear is folded back. When he’s hyper, he sprints circles around the living room and it’s really funny.”
Yes, Brisco leads a happy life, thrilled to have his family at home for now, 24/7. He’d probably pitch in to help with the homeschooling if only he understood the new math!
