Working a combined 65 years, Carolyn Banghart and Gloria Napier were recognized for their loyalty and dedication to the House of the Good Shepherd and its residents recently.
The annual Years of Service Awards is an opportunity for the House to recognize its “milestone” employees. Among the 14 employees honored at the event were Banghart, a member of the nursing staff who has worked at The House for an incredible run of 35 years, and administration employee Napier, who has served on the staff for nearly as long, 30 years.
“This event is one that we look forward to each year,” said Sue Lanza, CEO at the House. “It’s our chance to recognize those who make all the difference in the world to our residents – the staff who have truly dedicated themselves to The House. We are especially excited that this year includes two powerhouses like Carolyn and Gloria, who help The House run as smoothly as it can and through their longevity enjoy particularly strong relationships with our residents.”
Other notable employees are 25-year “veterans” of the House, Tammy Cominsky, of Dining Services, and Helen Wysowaty, of Administration.
Recognized for 15 years of service were Vilma Makin and Mary VanMil, both members of the nursing staff.
Several employees were cited for 10 years of service: Paul Walton, Maintenance; Virginia Gerhold, Nursing; Rose Letsak, Dining; and Hollie Driscoll, Administration;
Philip Mose, Nursing; Maria Spadaro and Brianna McGreevey, Dining; and Sharon Gobo, Business Office, were all recognized for five years of service.
