The Washington Business Improvement District’s Farmers Market and Arts & Crafts event on Saturday June 20 drew dozens of vendors showcasing art, as well as fresh veggies and fruit, to kickoff the Farmers Market season. The winners of the Art Competition were for first place, Rosy Pine Furniture;, Nicole Pine (above left) and Julia Iozzia (center) pictured here with Washington BID Executive Director Melanie Thiel, and second place to Jeremiah Apgar. Rosy Pine Furniture also won the People’s Choice Award. The Farners Market takes place every Saturday by the Pocket Park in Downtown Washington from 10 a.n.-2 p.m. Most weeks the Farmers Market features something special, such as music and special activities.
