The Washington Borough Business Improvement’s District’s recent Annual Warren County Arts Festival drew artists and crafters from
throughout the area. Congratulations were in order for the three top winners, all of whom won cash prizes. First place went to James Squicciarini of Whitehouse Station. A blacksmith, welder, machinist, and woodworker, this is the second year in a row he has been recognized for his unique sculptures and household items.
Lanette LaForge’s Countryside Photography took home second prize. Said one judge, “She has a way of snapping a shot that’s different from what you usually see.” Her photos of local landmarks, landscapes, and flora are pleasantly recognizable to those in Warren County and the surrounding area.
Winner of the People’s Choice Award was Whispering Woods by Art Forder, who displayed an impressive array of wood art, including a decorated table that really impressed the festival’s visitors.
