Three attorneys who represent clients throughout Warren County were recognized on October 27th by the New Jersey Courts for providing pro bono legal services to people in need.
Bernard T. Neuner, Esq. and Mona Ressaissi, Esq., of Margolin and Neuner, in Washington Township (Morris), and Tom Fischer, Esq., of Broscious, Fischer & Zaiter, were among 11 in the state who were honored for their efforts in giving back to their communities.
It was noted in the program that “Every day, judges ask attorneys throughout New Jersey to represent individuals without compensation. The need for pro bono legal service has continued, and in some cases has become more urgent, during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Whether appearing in a physical courtroom or participating in a virtual proceeding, pro bono attorneys help people in difficult, time-consuming, and sometimes emotionally draining cases. By answering the court’s call to service, these attorneys fulfill the highest duty of the legal profession. Without expectation of payment or recognition, these attorneys serve their clients, the courts, and our communities. They provide a model of the ways in which the practice of law benefits all people.”
