The 7th Annual Groove in the Grove, scheduled for this Saturday from 1-9 p.m., is about great music, food and FUN! Perfect for the whole family. Groove presents an afternoon full of original music, this year with 14 amazingly talented artists from throughout Northwest Jersey – and beyond.
Held in a shaded, park-like setting at Vasa Park in Mount Olive with on-site playground, plenty of free parking and craft/service vendors, there are two outdoor stages providing continuous musical entertainment all day. Among this year’s lineup are Patrick Fitzsimmons, Don Kincaid of Hackettstown, Mef Gannon (pictured), Grover Kemble, Anne Mironchik, Jody Price, and many others. There is a concession stand and outdoor pub to offer festival style food, a variety of soft drinks and beer. Rain or Shine – in case of inclement weather, all musical performances will be held in Vasa’s large banquet hall. The Festival is hosted by the Skylands Songwriters Guild. For more details, visit event website atwww.grooveinthegrove.com. Tickets may be purchased with cash at gate on day of the Festival: $15/Adult, $10/Student, children 12 and under-free. Skylands Songwriters Guild (SSG), based out of Ledgewood, NJ, is a recognized 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization dedicated to providing networking, educational and performance opportunities for the Singer/Songwriter community of Northwest New Jersey and the surrounding region. Donations made to SSG are tax deductible. |
