All Day Fun Slated for Library System’s Makers Day Event March 23

Warren County Freeholders Edward J. Smith, Richard D. Gardner, and Jason J. Sarnoski cut the ribbon to officially open the Warren County Library’s new Southwest Branch in Greenwich Township in September.

Join the Warren County Library System for the 5th Annual Makers Day on Saturday, March 23! With events hosted at each of the library branches, kids and adults alike can enjoy learning how to make and create.

Running 10 a.m.-3 p.m., this year’s event is expected to be the biggest yet and will include 3D printing, robotics, laser cutting, sewing, crafting, alternative energy projects, chainsaw carving, astronomy, rocketry, nutrition and food projects, gardening, karate demos, and more!

Each library will hold a unique mix of free demonstrations, presentations, and hands-on activities, so participants are encouraged to check with their local libraries for a list of events and to explore branches they might not usually visit. Carve out the perfect day by visiting more than one branch!

New Jersey Makers Day is a statewide celebration of making and maker culture that takes place every March in the Garden State as part of NJ STEM Month. The primary goal is to enhance community engagement and facilitate connections among New Jersey residents by exploring new and interesting opportunities for communitywide education, entrepreneurship and hands-on learning experiences.
