Aesop’s Fables Highlight Library Event July 29

Bright Star Touring Theatre from Asheville, NC, will present several of Aesop’s Fables in the open air at the Catherine Dickson Hofman Branch of the Warren County Library on Lambert Road in Blairstown, on Thursday, July 29, at 6:30 p.m.

Stories will include “The Boy Who Cried Wolf,” “The Tortoise and the Hare” and “The Mouse.” Families are encouraged to bring a camp chair or blanket. Registration is through Kelly at kdurkin@warrenlib.org.

Funding for this program is made possible in part through the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Division of Land Preservation and the Catherine Dickson Hofman Library Association.

More storytelling will be presented virtually on Friday, July 30, from 2:30 to 3 p.m.

Trails and Tales will feature stories about princesses, giants, heroes and more told using electronic instruments and the listeners imaginations. The storytime is for preschoolers. To register, lot in to warrenlib.org with library card and PIN number.

Another Zoom program will feature Lady Hawke Storytelling presenting “Critter Tales for All Ages” on Monday, Aug. 2 at 6:30 p.m.

Lady Hawke is Laura Kaighn, a storyteller and writing coach based in the Philadelphia area. She will present animal tales and nature facts and teach a “critter craft.” Registration starts at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 19 through Kim Urban at 908-818-1280 or kurban@warrenlib.org. A materials list ad directions for the craft will be emailed to registrants prior to the program for those who wish to participate in the craft. Children less than 7 years old may need help with the craft.
