COMPETITIONS AND EVENTS
The FFA competed in virtual career development events at the state level with excellent results.
The Dairy Judging Team came in first in the state with members Amanda Burdett, Jasa Kopack, Devon Meshach and Rebecca Smith all coming in the top 6 for individuals.
The Horse Evaluation Team took second place, with Devon Meshach placing second individually. She was joined on the team by Sarah Hale, Emily Leidner and Sydney Staniulis.
Taking third in the state was the Meat Evaluation Team, which included Tyler Castner (fifth individual overall), Emilia Quelly, Sydney Staniulis and Grace Tirabassi. Warren Hills was one of only 42 schools in New Jersey and 334 schools in the nation to qualify for the GirlsGo Cyberstart National Championship. Forty-nine Blue Streaks participated in the first two rounds of the competition, which started in January.
Four girls will represent the school at the online National Championship on May 20-21: top scorers Emma Sloan, Sarah Korczukowski, Nirvani Mangu and Joyce Lin. Their alternates are Kayla Weldon, Jenna Weldon, Nicole Kilhullen and Julia Monico. They will face off against high schools from around the country, including Blair Academy, North Warren, and Phillipsburg High School.
